If you have been wearing jewellery for a quite a long time you may already be aware of the process that you go through for a ring resizing. However, if you have never been through the process before of are a first time wearer of rings, it can seem like a daunting process. Rings need resizing for a number of different occasions for example weight loss or weight gain. Perhaps you have changed your mind on which finger your ring sits, whatever the reason we are here to help guide you through the ring resizing process in our jewellery store on the Kenilworth high street.
The first stage of course is for you to come in store and let us inspect the ring so we can find out more about the ring and the size it would need to be altered to. Although ring resizing is a common procedure, not all rings can be resized which is why we like to see the ring first.
If your ring is loose and you are looking to get a smaller size this is a relatively simple process compared to making the ring bigger. Our jeweller will determine the size that you would like to move down to and cut out a portion of the metal in the ring. Then they will join the two ends together by soldiering the metal and returning it to its circular shape.
Increasing the size of the ring is more of a complex process however it can still be achieved in two ways. The first way is stretching the ring to a bigger size however this is problematic if the increase is more than one size. Therefore, if stretching is not an option we will add additional metal to the ring.
The cost of resizing your ring is dependent on a number of factors. It depends on the metal that your ring is made out of as well as how many sizes you would like to increase of decrease the ring. Our ring resizing prices start from £30-35 however if you would like more information on the price of ring resizing you can visit us in store and our team will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
On average it will take our jewellery between 7 -10 days to resize your ring, however, it is again depending on the type of ring you have, the metal it is made from and the sizing changes. If you would like your ring resized or have any questions then you can contact us via phone or alternatively visit our jewellery store on the Kenilworth high street, Warwickshire.
