Orient Watches

From the beginning, Orient has pursued a single mission: To offer high-quality, attainable timepieces with enduring style. The brand’s heritage is rooted in craftsmanship, reliability, precision and beauty that stand the test of time. Orient Brand History The origin of Orient Watch Company dates back to as early as 1901! Shogoro Yoshida opened ‘Yoshida Watch Shop’ where he sold pocket watches. Over 20 years later, on 13th July 1950, Orient was launched. Renting the former Toyo Tokei Co., Ltd. Hino Factory, the brand began the production of wristwatches right away in that same year. In 1950, employees from the Hino factory came together and began operating as ‘Tama Keiki Company’. Under this name, they produced their first wristwatch, the ‘New Orient’. After its initial success, the company changed its name to ‘Orient Watch in 1951. Over the following decades, Orient evolved with the times, bringing out timepieces that reflected the current trends, however, there was one trend that Orient did not follow. Quartz technology was on the rise, but Orient stayed true to its original watchmaking traditions. Even in the present day, Orient only uses automatic mechanical movements that they produce in-house. Orient Style Characterised by their bright colours, moonphase complications and skeleton dials, Orient watches are as sophisticated as they are practical. Whether you’re after something sporty, classic or contemporary, thanks to the brand’s large portfolio there is an Orient model for all!
