What is a watch service?

Servicing a watch is a process that typically involves disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling the watch. Once the parts of the watch have been inspected, replaced and approved, they are oiled and put back together again. While a complicated process, it is very beneficial, hence it is recommended to service your watch every three to five years. The price of servicing a watch starts from £145, depending on the brand, and takes around 4-8 weeks to complete. You may be without your watch for a couple of months, however, the results will make it worthwhile.
