Seiko Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver’s PADI Special Edition (42mm) Green Dial / Stainless Steel Bracelet SPB501J1
This Seiko Prospex diver’s watch has been created in collaboration with PADI – the Professional Association of Diving instructors, the world’s most recognised diver’s training organisation.
Its design takes its inspiration from the very first milestone in Seiko’s diving watch expertise from 1965 – Japan’s and Seiko’s first ever diver’s watch: the ‘62MAS’. Due to its reliability, it was worn four times by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition team and later by adventurers and explorers in the most severe conditions on Earth, including the North and South Poles and Mount Everest.
Crafted from stainless steel with a super-hard coating, the green dial depicts the surface of the ocean seen by a diver underwater, with the sunlight bursting through. For legibility, the date feature is placed in an upright position at 4.5 o’clock.
The short-pitch length bracelet features a micro-adjustable clasp feature for added comfort, whilst it is also accompanied by an additional matching green strap, crafted entirely from recycled fishing nets.
The in-house 6R55 automatic calibre is accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a three day power reserve. This timepiece is water resistant up to 300m.
Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
