The watches produced by Ingersoll cost just $1 (a days wages at the time), over one million of these “Dollar Watches” were sold. In 1896 Ingersoll worked with Henry Ford to create an automated watch production line, greatly reducing the amount of time to create their watches. Over the years the Ingersoll brand became known worldwide due to their links with public figures. One of the most famous examples was 24th President Theodore Roosevelt, who was famously called "the man from the country where Ingersoll watches are made." Even Gandhi declared his Ingersoll watch one of his most prized possessions! An Iconic Brand Ingersoll really are one of the most iconic watch brands in the world.
